yes....I am alive!

Hello out there! It has been a long time since I have blogged. I have been pretty busy with my nursing gig and not a lot of time out there for my real calling :) photographing wonderful humans!

I have had done several sessions in the last several weeks and it feels so good to get my creative side going! Several seniors, families and even prioritized my own family this year, ha! I will post a few.

The kids and I relocated to Council Bluffs this summer after school was out for them in Villisca, we are closer to all my clinics and lots of great opportunities for baseball up here!

I will promise to be a lot better at blogging!

October 2011...

Colors are changing, kids are in full swing at school, PPI is coming up next week, thank goodness! I am ready for some photographer time! Not that I don't love my Nursing-time, but I am really enjoying all the sessions that Ihave been doing and it puts me in a good mood! It is my therapy!

They are almost done putting our new roof on, then they will start working on the new siding! We even picked a new color! No more yellow, it will now be brown!

Denver bound this weekend for Katie and Jason's Destination Wedding in Estes Park-it is going to be so much fun, they are so laid back and ready for anything! I can't wait to post some great portraits, this is going to be one of "my" sessions of a lifetime!

The kids are having such a great summer! Addy is having a blast at Kids Place, Andrew is getting ready for Swimming lessons!

It's been awhile....

Hello All, It has been awhile since I have blogged, it has been crazy in my world. I got a wonderful promotion with my nursing job and unfortunately my real love, photography, has taken a back seat until this summer! The 5D Mark II is screaming at me from inside the warm, cush of my Canon bag. I have relocated to Glenwood, Iowa, a really nice little town that is only 25 miles from my clinic! I put 12K miles on my car in 3 months! Ouch! While we are selling our house in Villisca, Adam is still staying there and working at CRHC. The kids have started school here and are making new friends like crazy!

I will keep you posted when I start opening up to book sessions again, will probably be in May!

A Happy/Sad Start/Finish to a new beginning!

Well, the word is all out this week, I am going to close up shop at the Studio July 15, 2010. I am putting in many, many hours with a lot of new responsibility at my nursing job with DaVita. I am not able to spread myself thin enough for my kiddos, husband, job, me...haha!

I am going to still be doing location work, I am keeping all my equipment, lights, backgrounds, etc. and will still be able to be creative, however, just not with the overhead of the studio costs! A huge thank you to the Johnston's they have been the best landlords and very supportive, so if anyone knows of someone who needs to rent a nice building space that is versatile, see Mark or Teresa at Johnston Communications!!

A big thank you to all who have made the last 2 years very successful for me! I have had a blast being a part of your family's history!

Keep the calls coming, I will be doing sessions until July 15!

Hello all, this has been a crazy last couple of weeks, a lot of work at DaVita, we just got all new machines, which if you don't know, is a lot of crap work! I have been at the Atlantic clinic most everyday and still worked in DSM at the Iowa Methodist DaVita clinic this past weekend. Whew!

Adam, the kids and I enjoyed some good DSM time, we got up there Friday night, watched some movies then I had an early 330am wake up call, worked at DaVita all day then went to Cathy and Matt's wedding in Pella, wow that sure was a beautiful ceremony, church and day! I have never been to Pella so it was great to drive around and see the history!

Sunday we went swimming at the apartment pool and took a nice walk, we then went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid which was hilarious!

Can't wait for Becky and Chad's wedding this weekend in Ankeny! So excited for them they are such a great couple!

This picture above is my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and sweet nieces! Their session was Easter morning and had a lot of great portraits come out of it. Also, using some of my new actions from Jen's Fabulous Stuff! Love it!
